  • August 2002 - October 2002: *Student Teacher at Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, 5th Grade Girls
  • October - December 2003:*Student Teacher at Wildwood Elementary School, in Ottumwa, Iowa, 3rd Grade.

*Total attendance 18 weeks: Primary instructive teacher two weeks at each position.

Within the first day at each school I became an integral part of the classroom community. During student teaching I attended parent/teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and district curriculum design meetings. I had many successes in utilizing knowledge of classroom management. To engage students I used technology creatively in the classroom, adapted curricula to meet goals, and modified assignments for individuals as needed.

  • 1995 - 1996: Teacher's assistant at Age of Enlightenment Childcare Center
  • 1982 - Present: Raised our five children, worked in family businesses in areas of construction, building inspections, farming (raised organic soy beans) and insurance adjusting.
  • 1975 - 1982: Teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Taught over 200 people in California, Washington, and Georgia. (TM Movement History)
