Dear Parents,

With school underway, I'd like to welcome you to the second grade at Cornwall Park Primary. I have recently graduated from Maharishi University of Management with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.

I am very dedicated to making this a successful and enjoyable school year for you and your child. I am a strong believer in classrooms s communities, nand part of the community the parents an caregivers of the second grade. I feel that by working together we can education your child to his or her maximum potential.

If at any time you feel the need to call me you many reach me at school each day until 4pm at extension 555 or at home at 472 4859. I will be contacting you throughout the year about projects, upcoming events, the nice things I see your child doing, and problems, if any, arise. Many of these things will be communicated through a monthly classroom newsletter, but on occasion I may call you at home. Please consider being a room helper, all the children really enjoy this.

I want to assure all parents that here at Cornwall Park Primary, we have a strong teacher mentor program. Throughout the year I will be working with Mrs. Veronica Smiley who has been teaching in the Midwest for the last 15 years. She will be helping me with day to day planning, and helping me smooth out this first year of teaching. Again, please feel free to contact me at anytime with any concern.

At the end of this month I am inviting all parents and caregivers to a Back-to-School night in your child's classroom. At this time you will be able to meet other parents, and I will discuss the academic program, grading, my goals and expectations, how I will prepare your child for 3rd grade, and my classroom management plan. Please look over the class guidelines that the class and I came up with.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Davy
